1.00 Unit        Wt: 1.05            PD/WK 05

Offered in Grades 11 & 12

Prerequisite: Two regents level science course one of which must be Living Environment II or Living Environment (Regents)

This is a yearlong course that uses principles of biology and earth science to study the environment. Students will complete outdoor field work, laboratory activities, and computer-based case studies.  Topics of study include: ecology, the human population, natural resources, and pollution.

Students who successfully complete this course as juniors may wish to take AP Environmental Science as a senior.
