How to Make a Brochure Using Microsoft Word

Open Word

Select New Document

To change paper orientation from portrait to landscape, select File Page Setup. Click on Paper Size Tab and select the Landscape option. (Your paper layout will change from long to wide.)

To Create a Text Box, display your drawing toolbar.

Select View Toolbars Drawing.

Select the Text Box tool by clicking on it (It looks like a box with an "A" in it and some lines). Your pointer will change to a thin cross. Click and drag on your page to create a box. You can then type inside the box and format your text as you normally would. Note: If you want to fold the brochure in thirds, make three text boxes.

To Move your Text Box, click on its edge. Your pointer will change to a cross tool with four arrows. This is your Move tool. Click and drag to move your text box. To Resize your Text Box, click on its edge. You will see the box highlight with knobs around its corner and edges. Place your pointer on one of the knobs and it will change to a double-edged arrow. This is your Resize tool. Click and drag to resize.
